Alpha Iota Chapter hold April meeting

The Columbiana County Retired Teachers’ Association presented four $500 teacher grants for use in their classrooms. NEW WATERFORD — The April meeting of the Alpha Iota Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Teachers’ Honorary was held at the New Waterford United Methodist Church.
Nancy Dicken provided the invocation and President Barb Lipp presided over the meeting. Loretta Davidson’s minutes and Sharon Walker’s treasurer’s reports were approved.
The local chapter was recognized at the State Convention at Deer Creek Lodge and Conference Center with the Gold Key. Pam Todd and Lipp attended the event to receive the award on behalf of the Columbiana County DKG. It was announced that the state initiative for 2025-2026 will be mental health and wellness.
The evening concluded with bingo.
The next meeting will be held Saturday, May 3 at 10 a.m. at the Family Kitchen and Smokehouse in Chester, West Virginia.
