Walk-in screening mammograms will be available at Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC), Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. beginning April 7. No appointments are needed, which means that patients can walk-in for a screening mammogram during these hours with little to no waiting. No doctor’s order is required for a walk-in examination. Walk-ins should go directly to SRMC’s Medical Imaging department on the ground floor to check-in for their mammogram upon arrival at the hospital. Exam results will be sent to the patient’s primary care provider. If a patient does not have a provider, an SRMC Medical Group physician will review the results and contact the patient for follow-up care, if needed. In addition to offering walk-in screening mammograms, patients can also schedule a mammogram at SRMC by calling 330-332-7300.
