Former EP graduate retires from the military

Chief Warrant Officer 4 Aaron S. Foster, formerly of East Palestine, was honored at retirement and award ceremonies at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia. He retired after 23 years of service to his country. He was awarded the Legion of Merit.

Foster, a 1997 graduate of East Palestine High School, son of William and Debbie Foster of East Palestine and Mike and Sherry Biers of Newnan, Georgia, entered the Army in 2002 at Fort Knox, Kentucky as a tank crewman. In 2004 he was accepted into warrant officers school. Upon graduation he entered flight school at Fort Rucker as a rotary wing aviator 47 Chinook.

Foster served in Germany and Italy with the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade. He then became an electronic warfare officer, serving in Germany and Afghanistan. Foster transitioned to cyber warfare, serving at Fort Liberty and Fort Eisenhower. He lives in Evans, Georgia, with his wife Jenna and four children, Austin, Kaylee, Raegan and Brooklyn.
