Sprucevale Road extension in St. Clair Township will be closed between Calcutta Smith Ferry Road and state Route 170 during the daytime hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday for the setting of a wet well for a sanitary pump station.
All Shook Up May 1-4
The Indigo Family Theater will present All Shook Up, a lively jukebox musical featuring the songs of Elvis Presley, at the Best Western Plus Dutch Haus Inn in Columbiana. Showtimes are Thursday, May 1 through Saturday, May 3 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, May 4 at 2 p.m. Doors open 30 minutes before each performance. Set in 1955, All Shook Up tells the story of a guitar-playing stranger who arrives in a sleepy town and turns everything upside down through the power of music. Packed with classic hits like “Jailhouse Rock,” “Heartbreak Hotel,” and “Don’t Be Cruel,” the production is a high-energy, family-friendly musical suitable for all ages. The show features a cast of 15 local amateur performers and is presented by Indigo Family Theater, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing wholesome theatrical entertainment. 2025 Jenco Awards
The Jenco Foundation Fund is accepting nominations for the 2025 Jenco Awards, recognizing Appalachian Ohioans who have made a difference in the lives of others through community service and visionary leadership. A partnership between the Jenco Foundation and the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO), the Jenco Awards celebrate individuals across the 32-county region who have performed noteworthy community service outside their paid positions. Jenco Award recipients exemplify the difference everyday people can make when they give their time, talent and passion to serve their neighbors and communities. The Jenco Awards are open to people of all ages serving their communities across many areas, including arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environmental stewardship, and health and human services.
