Lisbon Cookie Crawl April 26
The Lisbon Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Cookie Crawl will take place April 26 from 1 to 3 p.m, at the Center Township Garage. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children. MV Dahlia Society Tuber Society
The Mahoning Valley Dahlia Society will host its annual Tuber Sale from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at Boardman Park’s Elton Beard Cabin. Society members will assist in selections and answer questions on the planting and care of Dahlias.
COAD4kids Parent Cafe
COAD4kids will present its Parent Cafe parent support group from 6 to 7:30 p.m. April 24 at the Kiducation Community Center, 1739 Commerce St., Wellsville. The topic will be self-care for positive parenting. Dinner and child care will be provided. Space is limited to 25 adults. Those attending will receive a $50 gift card. New Garden MC rummage sale
The New Garden Methodist Church, 7165 state Route 9, New Garden, will host a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 8 and 9, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 10; fill a large bag for $5. There will be free hot dogs and drink from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 8 and 9, and 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 10. Donations will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through April 30. SACC reverse raffle May 14
The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Reverse Raffle May 14 at the Salem Golf Club. Cash bar begins at 5:15 p.m., with dinner and event to follow. Tickets are $125, with cash prizes up to $1,000. Purchase tickets at the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce. Proceeds benefit the chamber foundation.
Hazard mitigation plan meeting
The Columbiana County Emergency Management Agency, as part of the Columbiana County Hazard Mitigation Planning Committee, will hold a public meeting at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, at the Columbiana County EMA, 215 S. Market St., Lisbon. The purpose of the meeting is to review updates to the county’s hazard mitigation plan. Members of the public will be given the opportunity to comment on the natural and man-made hazards most affecting them. The Columbiana County Hazard Mitigation Plan was last updated in 2020 per federal requirements in Section 322 of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, as enacted by Section 104 of the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000. SHSAA annual meeting April 26
The Salem High School Alumni Association will hold its 144th Annual Meeting during the Scholarship Award Ceremony on Saturday evening, April 26, beginning at 6 p.m. in the SHS auditorium. The meeting will be held before awarding scholarships to the SHS Class of 2025 members and the recognition of the 2025 SHSAA Honored Alumnus, Frank A. Zamarelli Jr. All alumni and friends are welcome to attend. A catered SHSAA Open House will follow the program in the SHS cafeteria.
Salem Memorial Day Parade
Memorial Day Parade applications are now available and being accepted through May 19. Applications can be picked up at Salem City Hall, Salem AmVets Post 45 or Salem VFW Post 892. Units are to be Patriotic/Veteran related. Any questions call Scott at 330-277-6775.
