The Historical Society of Columbiana and Fairfield Township’s quarterly program is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, April 21, in the 1st Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. The program will be “WW2 Single-engine Fighter Planes” presented by Skip McCullough. The public is invited.

YAG food pantry Wednesday

Yeshua Assembly of God in East Liverpool will hold its food pantry (Yeshua’s Storehouse) distribution from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Storehouse/Pantary is open on the first and third Wednesdays every month. A person may visit one time per month.

The church will host its free produce giveaway from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, available to the first 200 families, limit of two families per car.

No photo ID or proof of income required for either giveaway. A person may visit both the pantry and the produce giveaway.

Mount Union Raider Steel Band

The Mount Union Raider Steel Band and Percussion Ensemble will perform its spring concert at 7:30 p.m. tonight in Brush Performance Hall of the Giese Center for the Performing Arts. The following local students will perform at the concert: Hailey Dray of Minerva, Samantha Drysdale of Wellsville, Caden Nicholson of Alliance and Ricky Short of Salem. The program features works by Johanna Beyer, a traditional Brazilian Batucada, Bob Marley, The Police, Dennis Franklyn “Merchant” Williams, Ray Holman, Barnet “Preacher” Henry and Nana Vascancellos, among others. CC Seniors Association

Columbiana County Seniors Association will meet in the Columbiana Public Library Seniors Room from 10 a.m. to noon Friday. At noon, those interested will break up into small groups and go to lunch at a select number of local restaurants.

Mini-Health and Wellness Fair

The EPGO Group will be hosting a Mini-Health and Wellness Fair on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in partnership with The Chamber of Commerce Spring Fling. Residents are encouraged to stop in the Municipal Building to visit the health displays and get their blood pressure checked. Lyddy Jones, a Medicare consultant, will be there to answer questions about Medicare plan changes and selections. Karen Christian, of Christian House Assisted Living will be available to talk about the day services they provide along with residential care. Ashley from the Resiliency Center will be there to talk about mental health and have her therapy dog with her. The Columbiana County Department of Health will be supplying information about local health issues. EPGO will also be available to talk about their plans for the creation of a Telephone Buddy program, Golden Friends opportunities and their upcoming “Cake and Sweets Walk” being planned for EP’s 150th birthday celebration. Audubon Society/MV

Audubon Society/Mahoning Valley will meet Tuesday, April 22, at the Austintown Senior Center, 112 Westchester Dr, Austintown. Social time starts at 6:30 p.m. and the program at 7 p.m.. The month program is “Fishing is For the Birds,” a presentation by Trish Guenther. Free and open to everyone.

Founders Day banquet

The Salem Historical Society’s 53rd annual Founders Day banquet will be held April 29 at the Salem Community Center, 1098 N. Ellsworth Ave. starting at 5 p.m. Beginning in 2006, the Salem Historical Society has honored citizens who have made significant contributions to Salem. The 2025 Citizen of Honor is David Stratton, whose volunteer work exemplified “significant contributions.” He was the director of the Salem Historical Society for many years after he retired from Salem City Schools as their curriculum director, was an active member of the Salem First Friends Church, and was a member of the Gideon Society. The dinner, prepared by A La Carte Catering, includes roast beef, chicken cordon bleu, vegetable sides, and dessert. Vegetarian requests must be made at the time of reservation. Reservations are required by April 22. Dinner is $30 per person.
