Angels for Animals temporarily suspends dog adoptions and intake
CANFIELD (WKBN) — Angels for Animals announced Friday it is temporarily suspending dog adoptions and intake.
The adoption agency says that is due to the rise in kennel cough in the facility.
It is treatable in most healthy dogs, but can be more severe for puppies or immunoc-ompromised dogs.Symptoms of kennel cough include a cough that sounds like “honking,” a runny nose, sneezing, lethargy, loss of appetite and a low fever.
Angels for Animals is still taking applications for dogs currently up for adoption. Those approved will be contacted with further instructions on a timeline.
If you find a stray dog, Angels for Animals asks you take it to your local county pound.
