Perry Twp. Spring Cleanup set

PERRY TOWNSHIP — Perry Township’s annual Spring Cleanup is set to begin April 7, giving township residents an opportunity to clear some clutter.

While in years past the township has divided its pickup between the township’s northern and southern sections, with State Street as the dividing line, this year’s collection will include both sides of the township. Pickup this year will be from April 7 through April 16. Highland Creek and Pembrooke Drive will be picked up separately on April 16.

Only one pickup load will be taken per household, and items should be able to be lifted into the truck by one person. All hoses and cords must be tied. Tires are not being accepted again this year. Additionally no garbage, glass, propane, propane jugs, air conditioners, televisions, computers, paints, chemicals, nor anything with freon will be accepted.

Nothing put out after April 16 will be picked up except for brush, which is collected separately and must be bundled. Residents are also reminded that leaves are only picked up in the fall and should not be put out at this time.

Township residents generally take advantage of the annual spring cleanup dates to get rid of unwanted furniture, junk tools, kid’s toys, and other small household items that are no longer wanted.

Starting at $2.99/week.
