Lisbon hydrant flushing

The Lisbon Water Department will conduct the annual flushing of fire hydrants beginning Monday, March 31 through April 30. It will start on the west side of town continuing east. Water customers may notice short periods of lower pressure, and some discoloration is possible in and around the areas where the work is occurring. Those with concerns should contact the water department office at 330-424-5503 Ext. 1850 or 1851.

Banquet in Salem Thursday

Friends of the Banquet will host the Dine In or Drive Thru 4th Thursday Banquet in Salem from 5 p.m. until the food is gone Thursday at the Salem Memorial Building. The menu will include penne pasta and meatballs, green beans, applesauce, fresh vegetables and fruit, and peaches. Dine in will park in designated area and proceed to front door. Drive thru will line up in lot behind the building; one meal per individuals in the vehicle. No parking in library lot. For information or to sponsor a Banquet call Patty Colian at 330-831-2169.

United Quilt Guild

The United Quilt Guild will meet April 1 at 6:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church on Second Street. The business meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. The guild will be working on butterflies for the tree at Burchfield museum. Those who already have some made should bring them; otherwise the group will work on them. All quilters are welcome.
