Mount Olivet pierogi dinners
Mount Olivet UCC, 410 W. South Range Road, North Lima, will sell drive thru pierogi dinners from 3 to 6 p.m. every Friday during Lent beginning March 7. Warm potato and cheese pierogis with onions (no onions by request) will be available for $7 per half dozen, cash only.
Banquet in Salem Monday
Friends of the Banquet will sponsor the Dine In or Drive Thru Banquet in Salem from 5 p.m. until food is gone Monday at the Salem Memorial Building. The menu will include sweet Italian sausages sandwich with peppers and onions, scalloped potatoes, green beans, applesauce, fresh vegetables and fruit, and cookies. Dine in will park in the designated area behind the building and proceed to the front door. Drive thru will line up in the lot behind the building; one meal per individuals in the vehicle. P.E.R.I. MC Chapter 18
The Public Employee Retirees (P.E.R.I.) of Mahoning County Chapter 18, will meet on Tuesday, April 1, at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 Western Reserve Road. Lunch begins at noon for a cost of $19. Reservations are required and due by Tuesday, March 25, by calling Diane, 330-547-9612; Carol, 330-758-5239; or Janice, 330-270-8611. Anyone with dietary restrictions should advise the person taking their reservation. Guest speaker will be Vince Bevacqua with Family Tech Connect. They provide technical help free to anyone over 60 years, with their smartphones, TV’s, computers, tablets, printers and more. Family Tech Connect employees undergo fingerprinting and criminal background checks by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
