Health District Advisory Council
The Columbiana County Health District Advisory Council will meet at 6 p.m. March 17 at the health department, 7360 state Route 45, Lisbon, comprised of representatives from the communities and townships served by the county health district.
Young at Heart meetings
Long’s Run Trinity Presbyterian, 15851 Long’s Run Church Road, Calcutta, is hosting Young at Heart meetings again. They will be held the second and fourth Thursday of each month. The first lunch for 2025 will be held Thursday, March 13, at 12:30 p.m. A light lunch will be served. The group is open to all at no cost. A chance to meet with old friends or make new ones. Attendees are asked to bring a nonperishable food item for the food pantry. For information call 330-385-1127.
No community breakfast
The Damascus Methodist Church and Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church want to remind patrons there is no breakfast this month on March 15 due to renovations in the kitchen at Damascus. Delays in the construction process have pushed the return of the breakfast back. The goal is to return in April.
Audubon Society MV meeting
Audubon Society/Mahoning Valley will meet March 25 at the Austintown Senior Center, 112 Westchester Dr. Social time starts at 6:30 p.m., program starts at 7 p.m. The monthly program will be “A Brazilian Wildlife Adventure” presented by Andy and Eric Avram, who will share their about their trip.

William McKinley’s stop in Stark County that lasted forever, Monday, March 31 at 6:30 p.m. Join Mark Holland, archivist from the McKinley Presidential Library and Museum, as he illustrates with sight and sound a part of William McKiley’s life in Canton before he places himself on the national scene. ‘Round Up for Cancer’
During Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month in March, Grizzly Bean Coffee House in Salem is giving customers the chance to support cancer care at Salem Regional Medical Center through its “Round Up for Cancer” campaign. From March 3 through 29, customers at Grizzly Bean Coffee House’s Salem location can ask to round their purchase up to the nearest dollar at the register. Grizzly Bean will donate the proceeds back to Salem Regional Medical Center’s Cancer Fund. In addition, Grizzly Bean Coffee House will give $1 to the hospital’s Cancer Fund for each “Care Bear” drink purchased during the campaign. For information, call 330-337-2883.
Wellsville FCC drive thru dinner
Wellsville First Christian Church, 831 Main St., will host a drive thru beef tips over noodles dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. or sold out Saturday, March 8. Menu consists of beef tips over noodles, coleslaw, vegetable and dessert. Cost is by donation.
