Newview installs new officers

NEW CUMBERLAND — The Newview WV Community Educational Outreach Service met on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at the Hancock County Senior Services Center.
New officers were installed, 2025 handbooks were distributed, and lessons for the coming year were chosen.
Officers for 2025 are: President Virginia Lawrence, Vice President Sue Isner, Secretary Vicky Cunningham and Treasurer Becky Wiegers. Committee Chairs for the year will be Marilyn McClure, Family Committee; Doris Musselman, Health Motivator; Sue Isner, Continuing Education; Becky Wiegers, Marketing & Membership; and Dinah Carpenter, Purposeful Reading.
Anticipated lessons, and their presenters, are :
March, “Emergency Preparednes 101: Plan, Prepare, Prevail” (Betty Wagner)
April: “Your Grandson’s Not in Jail – How to Avoid Being Scammed” (Marilyn McClure)
May: “Echoes of the Past: Creative Writing for Legacy Building” (Becky Wiegers)
June: “A Guide to Conquering The Houseplant Jungle” (Doris Musselman)
July: “Make It! Decorating For The Holidays With Handmade And Natural DÈcor” (Dinah Carpenter)
September: “Backstitch: A Brief History of Needles, Bobbins, and Stitches” (Virginia Lawrence)
October: “Mail Pouch Barns” (Sue Isner)
November: “Christmas Cookies: History and Sharing of Baked Goods For The Holidays” (Vicky Cunningham)
