DKG holds Nov. meeting

At the most recent Columbiana County Delta Kappa Gamma meeting, Craig Wetzel, a native of East Liverpool, offered a laugh-out-loud program. Wetzel is an author, artist, muralist, and cartographer. CALCUTTA — The November meeting of the Alpha Iota Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Teachers’ Honorary was held at Hoge’s Restaurant in Calcutta. Nancy Dicken delivered a salute to veterans and Thanksgiving and led the prayer.

President Barb Lipp opened the business meeting. The minutes and treasurer’s report were read and accepted.

The program was provided by East Liverpool native Craig Wetzel, a professional artist and author. He has written and illustrated For the Love of Pete, Along the Little Beaver, Imaginactory, and More Fun for Imbeciles! Wetzel is also creator of the monster mural from conceptions submitted by local kids’ artwork. It can be found on the side of the Quality Stamp Office Supplies and Equipment building in East Liverpool.

The next meeting will be held on Dec. 10 at Ezio’s in Salem followed by a presentation by the Bell choir of the Emmanual Lutheran Church.
