Bright Christmas event set for Saturday

SALEM — The Brightside Project will host its annual Bright Christmas event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at its Salem location, 1909 N. Ellsworth Ave. The event is open to children aged 3 to 18 years old residing in Columbiana County and rural Mahoning County, including the West Branch, Sebring, Western Reserve and South Range school districts.

Bright Christmas promises to be a magical experience filled with holiday cheer and activities designed to spread joy and hope to children in our community. Children attending the event can share their Christmas wishes with Mr. and Mrs. Claus and take photos, receive a bag of food from Mrs. Claus’ Pantry, select toys from Toyland, choose a snack from the Gingerbread Snack House, and unleash their creativity by making a Christmas ornament at the Elf Workshop.

“Our mission is to ensure every child in attendance experiences the joy and hope of the holiday season,” said Lisa Vittorio, co-director of The Brightside Project. “We are excited to welcome families to this event and make Christmas a little brighter for the children in our community.”

Families are encouraged to bring proof of residency, such as a utility bill or identification, to ensure eligibility. Children must be present to participate in the event.
