Book parade

Fourth-grade students at Joshua Dixon added a new twist to parades…books. Instead of floats with musical sensations, these floats were designed around a children’s book theme. The mission was to parade in front of the entire student body and entice them into reading their book. In order to capture their attention, these creative kids developed a book blurb which they read aloud to get students excited about reading their book. Many cheers and clapping were heard as the fourth graders presented the Joshua Dixon Book Parade. Pictured, Max Ebben (The Very Hungry Caterpillar float). (Submitted photo)
