WELLSVILLE — A rockslide closed the Wells Hollow Road/state Route 45 exit from state Route 7/39 on Sunday.

As of Monday morning, the exit ramp was cleared and reopened.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Lisbon Post, they received a request from Wellsville police and fire to help with traffic consistency and road closure at 8:16 p.m. Sunday.

Highway Patrol also noted that there were no injuries, and no vehicles were on the exit ramp when the slide occurred.

Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) handled the cleanup.

Lauren Borell, public information officer, ODOT District 11, said it was a minor rockfall and that there was no pavement damage.

Borell also noted that ODOT’s geotechnical engineer will evaluate the site in the coming weeks.
