Common birds of northeast
Beaver Creek Wildlife Education Center volunteer Jason Short will lead a program about common birds of northeast Ohio from 2 to 3 p.m. Dec. 8 in the classroom at the center. This class is suitable kids age 5 and older and adults of all ages. Class size is limited to 20 and registration is required. Register by contacting Jason at bigbirdnerd_J@yahoo.com.
Breakfast with Santa & Mrs. Claus
The First Christian Church, 225 E. Washington St., Lisbon, will host a Breakfast with Santa & Mrs. Claus from 9 to 11 a.m. Dec. 14. The menu will include pancakes, sausage, bacon, coffee and juice. Cost is $10 adults, $5 children under 10 years and free for children under 3 years. Price includes a picture with Santa.
Toy drive November 30
St. Clair Police Department FOP 210 will be holding a toy drive for the Elks Lodge #258 on Nov. 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the East Liverpool Walmart. St. Clair Police Department is also looking for any businesses that are interested in collecting toys for the department. Interested businesses can contact Herman Potts at hpotts@stclairtwp.com.
Village of Beloit special meeting
The Village of Beloit will be holding a special meeting Monday, Dec. 2, at 6 pm. The purpose of the special meeting is to interview for fire, EMS, and street commissioner. Will be going into executive session. Action will be taken after leaving the executive session.
EL trash schedule
Trash is being collected from East Liverpool residences Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29, as the refuse and recycling department employees are scheduled to work on Thanksgiving Day. Residents whose trash is normally collected on Thursdays and Fridays are asked to have their trash set out at the curb for pick up as usual. Trash service on any of the city routes will not be affected by the national holiday.
