Columbiana BOE takes no action in executive session
COLUMBIANA –Although no action was taken after its conclusion, the Columbiana school board held an executive session near the conclusion of their regular meeting Tuesday as the district prepared to negotiate with employee bargaining units.
Board members also approved:
— The resignation of Glen Windram, eighth-grade girls’ basketball coach.
— The employment of Darla Barber, cook/cashier and bus driver; Courtney Weinstock, high school ELA teacher; Luke Landsberger, middle school wrestling coach; Jordan Reynolds, eighth-grade girls basketball coach; Karly Smith, middle school cheerleading coach; Dianna Richardson, high school cheerleading winter coach; Kristy Cyrus, athletic game help; Amy McCormick, VLA; and Caleb Pursley, substitute support staff.
— Volunteer helpers Courtni Burton, Jessica Conrad, Jessica Irwin and Michele Pease at the elementary; Kristen Reynolds and Noah Silver for swimming; Yvette Jester for band; and Bryce Ebben and Zach Davis for wrestling.
— The senior class of 2025 field trip to New York City, March 6-8, 2025, and the sixth-grade outdoor education field trip to Camp Fitch, April 28-30, 2025.
— A memorandum of understanding between the Counseling Center and the district, effective Aug. 1, 2024 through July 31, 2025.
The next board meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10 at the high school media center.
