Vaccination clinics set for October 29
LISBON — The Columbiana County Health District is fully stocked with vaccine and has re-scheduled their Columbiana and Salineville vaccination clinics. The clinics will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 29. Vaccines will be given in Salineville from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Salineville Kiwanis Club, 100 North Alley, Salineville. From 1 to 3 p.m. vaccines will be given at St. Jude Parish, 180 7th St., Columbiana.
Adults 18 years of age or older are welcome. Vaccines for both high-dose, for those 65 years or older, and regular dose flu vaccine (Flulaval or High-dose, Fluzone) as well as the newly released COVID-19 vaccine (Pfizer/Comiranty) will be available. There is no registration required, just walk right in.
This newly released COVID-19 vaccine has been updated to target the virus which has continued to evolve and change. The best protection from prevention and spread of COVID-19 is to receive the updated vaccine, wash hands and stay home if sick.
The COVID-19 vaccine supply has transitioned to a more traditional healthcare model, but residents with medical insurance should not have any out-of-pocket costs for the vaccine. There are also options for those without insurance. The health district recognizes most major insurance carriers. Cash or check will also be accepted for self-paying individuals. If paying by check, the account information must match the payer’s ID. If planning to receive a COVID booster, Columbiana County Health District asks that individuals bring their COVID vaccination card with them to the clinic.
