Isaiah Archer attains BSA Eagle Scout Rank

Isaiah Archer, a member of East Liverpool’s BSA Troop 2041 of Buckeye Council, Sandy Beaver District, recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He is the son of Jared and Erin (Warner) Archer of East Liverpool and the grandson of Joy (Rausch) and Larry Ballard, and the late Ed Archer, all of Marysville, and Richard Warner and Sharon Lane, both formerly from Pomeroy. Ohio.

Isaiah was chosen by his peers to be a member of Order of the Arrow, Sippo Lodge #377, BSA’s national honor society. He enjoys troop activities such as earning merit badges, camping, and volunteering throughout the community. Isaiah has earned his 4th year Logan Honors from Fort Steuben Scout Reservation and 2nd year Pipestone Honors from Seven Ranges Scout Reservation. Isaiah earned the highest honor of “Astronaut” for the 2024 Shrader-Barr Stem Award during his troop’s most recent visit to Seven Ranges Summer Camp. He has served his troop in various leadership roles, including Librarian, Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, and currently serves as Senior Patrol Leader. This past summer, Isaiah volunteered at Seven Ranges Scout Reservation located in Kensington as a member of the STEM Staff teaching Nuclear Science, Energy, and Robotics Merit Badges. Last year, he finished his Eagle Scout Project benefiting Columbiana County Fish & Game by installing seven new steel benches that are regularly used by the Beaver Local Trap Team.

Before moving to East Liverpool, Isaiah attended St. John’s Lutheran Church and School located in Marysville. Isaiah is currently a senior at Beaver Local High School where he excels in math and science. He is enrolled in CCP classes at Kent State and was inducted last year into the Beaver Local Chapter of the National Honor Society. He is a 4th year Summi Decum recipient. Isaiah is a third-year member and a second-year Team Captain for the Beaver Local High School Robotics Team. The 2023 Robotics Team won the “Create Award” at State competition which secured an invitation to travel and compete at the 2023 VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas, Texas. Isaiah is a four-year member of the Beaver Local Red Pride Marching & Concert Band. He plays the trombone, tuba, and sousaphone. He is a Section Leader and has participated in Solo & Ensemble Contest. This year, Isaiah joined the Red Pride Jazz & Pep Band and plays the keyboard. Isaiah has been a two-year Beaver Local Choir Member. He is a two-year member of the Beaver Local Rhythm & Red Show Choir and has been a three-year member of the Columbiana County Honors Choir. He has been a cast and chorus member of the Beaver Local musical productions of “Mamma Mia!,” “The Wizard of Oz,” and “Les Miserables.”

Isaiah is a member of the Beaver Local Trap Team. Isaiah has been a four-year participant in the Ohio State USA High School Clay Target League Tournament held annually in Delaware, Ohio. He has also qualified to compete as an individual for the last four years at the National USA High School Clay Target Championship held in Mason, Michigan.

Isaiah has accumulated over 274 hours of community service over the last four years. He is a confirmed member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, East Liverpool.

After high school, Isaiah is pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

BSA Troop 2041 meets at First Free United Methodist Church on St. Clair Avenue and invites boys in sixth grade through 12th grade to come see what the program has to offer. Since its inception in 1911, only four percent of Scouts have earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
