St. Clair trustees approve next steps for Calcutta Park expansion
ST. CLAIR TWP. — With an all-in-favor vote during Monday’s St. Clair Township trustee meeting, the trustees voted to approve the survey work and title searches for the Calcutta Park expansion.
The survey of five parcels of land is required as the next step in land acquisition to expand the park. Trustees received a request from the Columbiana County Engineer’s Office to approve the survey on land adjacent to the park.
Additionally, abstract title searches are needed on these five parcels of lands to proceed with the land acquisition.
Communications received by the trustees include a notice that the prosecutor’s office has moved to 135 S. Market St. Lisbon, Ohio, and a notice from OTARMA (Ohio Township Risk Management Authority) notifying of an opening on their board of directors.
The third annual Red, White and Thin Blue Line – Cops and Community Day will be Sept. 3 from 3 to 9:30 p.m. behind the Calcutta Giant Eagle located at 15937 state Route 170, East Liverpool.
The event hosted by The Fraternal Order of Police- St. Clair P.D., Lodge 210, will feature live entertainment, food concessions, donut eating contest, craft vendors, first responders and more.
The trustees announced the following meetings, events or closings for September:
Sept. 3 – Red, White and Thin Blue Line – Cops and Community Day
Sept. 5 – Labor Day – township offices closed
Sept. 8 – Travel and Tourism meeting, 7 p.m., at the community center
Sept. 12 – trustee meeting, 4 p.m., at the community center
Sept. 26 – trustee meeting, 4 p.m., at the community center.
