CCCTC approves abatement

LISBON — The board of the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center has approved a resolution for CRA Abatement. According to the resolution, the CCCTC received notice from the city of Columbiana that it is considering granting a 100 percent exemption for 15 years to Saybrook Facility Realty LLC for a $9,000,000 project at 43171 County Line Road that includes constructing a senior assisted living facility with 79 units more or less and with 60 full time employees. Since the proposed abatement is over 50 percent it required approval by the affected school board

In other business, the board approved:

Employing certified licensed personnel Jeffrey Williams as Information Technology Academy Instructor on a one-year contract effective the 2022-2023 school year, at Step 4 of the Bachelor’s salary schedule

The adult education nursing coordinator’s resignation of Emily Kellison, Adult Education Nursing Coordinator, effective June 30

The certified/licensed employee resignation of automotive technology instructor Justin Foley effective July 31

The classified employee resignation of Ryan Hawk from the position of maintenance/custodial employee effective June 30

Employing J.R. Straley as occasional/seasonal employee not to exceed 500 hours in the building and grounds department

Employing CCCTC student Thomas Stefl as summer worker at minimum wage in building and grounds for 2022

Employing Daniel Hammon as a summer Intern in the Technology Department at a rate of $12 per hour for 2022

Cafeteria prices for 2022-2023: Breakfast at $1.35, $3.00 adult, $2.65 student

Employ the following Adult Education Instructors for the 2022-2023 school year beginning July 1: Lynn Conn, not to exceed 1,200 hours at a regular pay rate of $32; Amberly McNemar, not to exceed 1,200 hours at a regular pay rate of $32; Emily Deack, not to exceed 950 hours at a regular pay rate of $32

The next meeting will be 7 p.m. July 19.
