Winona Memorial Day
The Winona Memorial Day Remembrance will be held May 22 at 3 p.m. The parade will form at Hall Park at 2:15 and then proceed to the Glenn W. Bennett Memorial playground. This year’s speaker will be Senior Master Sergeant Dave Starcher (Ret.). Noted during the service will be the six men of the Winona Area who made the supreme sacrifice during WWII. Others from the Winona Area will be included in the reading of those who lost their lives in other conflicts. After the remembrance, an Ice Cream Social will be provided by the Winona United Methodist Church and the Buckeye Dairy Boosters. Please bring lawn chairs and umbrellas for shade. In case of inclement weather, we will assemble in the Winona Methodist Church.
