St. Clair buys new dump truck

CALCUTTA — St. Clair Township trustees met Monday in regular session.

During the meeting, which had all in attendance, they agreed to the lease purchase of a new 2022 International tandem axle dump truck for $139,427.56 as well as the expenditure of $25,000 in its American Rescue Plan moneys to purchase turnout gear for the Glenmoor Volunteer Fire Department.

Calcutta Volunteer Fire Chief Dave McCoy is still getting his need list together for presentation at a future meeting.

Trustees also paid $147,447.90 in bills.

Police Chief Brian McKenzie announced that their local Fraternal Order of Police lodge will be taking 20 kids shopping Saturday at Walmart as part of their Shop With A Cop effort and delivering a trailer full of toys to the East Liverpool Elks for a donation for their Christmas toy distribution. His department also received 871 calls during the month of November, including 12 thefts.
