Wayne Savings Community Bank celebrates grand opening
WASHINGTONVILLE–A community bank focused on meeting the needs of rural communities has opened in Washingtonville.
Wayne Savings Community Bank celebrated its recent opening of a new location at 795 W. Main St. Friday.
Bank employees and leadership celebrated with a BBQ.
Executive Chairman Mark R. Witmer served hotdogs and hamburgers accompanied with snacks and all-you-can-eat soft serve ice cream.
Witmer welcomed new customers and touted the importance of agriculture based communities.
“Agriculture is so important to Columbiana, Mahoning counties, this whole area and is really the backbone of our communities,” Witmer remarked.
Chief Retail Officer Amberly Wolf explained Wayne Savings Community Bank meets the needs of farmers with specific lines of credit shaped around their needs.
Branch Manager Jesse Dailey can sit down with customers to discuss the goals and financial needs for each individual client.
“He will take the time to know them. He will get to ask them questions and really find out what it is they want for their outcome,” Wolf said.
Wayne Savings Community Bank prides itself on the relationships employees and leadership build with the community using “Dream Values.” The bank uses those values to determine business decisions.
“We look to those values and decide, are those the best fit for how we are going to make that decision,” Wolf said.
One of the dream values Wayne Savings Community Bank holds close is meaningful relationships.
The bank seeks to integrate itself and help the community through serving on non-profit boards, customer service hours, volunteer teaching and other forms of stepping forward.
“It really depends upon where each of our employees finds their passion and the needs of that area.” Wolf said.
Wayne Savings Community Bank will operate from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays and Fridays and 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Saturday hours will be scheduled by appointment only.
