2 men held on warrants in Salem drug raid Friday
SALEM — Two men were taken into custody on warrants and numerous narcotics seized when an East Perry Street home was raided on Friday by members of the Columbiana County Drug Task Force, the County Sheriff’s Office and the Salem Police Department.
According to Chief Deputy Jennifer Tucker, one of the men in the house, Malcolm Gulford, 35, was taken into custody on adult parole violations. Another man in the home, Craig Coffman, 39, had outstanding warrants. Several other people were reportedly found inside the house and were released.
Additional charges could be filed pending the results of tests by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation lab.
Suspected drugs located reportedly included more than 20 grams of methamphetamines, four grams of crack cocaine, 10 grams of marijuana, five grams of suspected THC, multiple containers of pills and a large amount of cash believed derived from drug-related activities.
Tucker said the search warrant for the home was obtained following an investigation by the Columbiana County DTF.
