Smith has been with the township’s road department for 13 years, including over two as the foreman.

A community celebration in recognition of McDaniel’s long service will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Monday at the administration building, 14003 W. South Range Road. Community members, friends and family are invited to stop by and wish him well.
