The Community Resource Center of East Liverpool Inc. will be honoring Esther Jackson-Grafton and Robert (Bob) Brock Jr. with a celebration of life open house for their many years of service. Area residents are invited to attend Salem Preservation’s gathering at 7 p.m. July 1 at Kast Iron Soda Works, 420 E. State St. Upcoming and ongoing projects of the group will be topics of discussion. The Aug. 7 Deluxe Salem Garden Tour, Lost Neighborhoods of Salem, Century Homes, First Ladies, July 25 joint summer picnic with newly formed East State Street Preservation Group and the ongoing Historic Reilly Project are some of the items on the agenda. Spark Joy Webinar
Shannon Huneycutt, will present her Spark Joy Webinar via Zoom at 6 p.m. June 29. She will share the KonMari philosophy and guiding principles needed to tidy once and for all and to feel motivated to spark joy in home, office and life. This is a PLUS Libraries Collaboration. It is open to the public and free to attend. Registration is required in order to receive the Zoom link for the program. July 4th Boat Parade
Guilford Lake’s Annual July 4th Boat Parade, hosted by the Guilford Lake Civic Association, begins at 2 p.m. at the State Beach Boat Docks. This year’s theme is “Create Your Boat!” Judging will be at the boat ramp at the Guilford Grille.
Super Hero Saturday
Angels for Animals will host Super Hero Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 10 at Andrews Hall, 4750 W. South Range Road. The day will include a Comic Book Show with Costume and Cosplay Contests for children, adults and pets all highlighted by a charity auction at noon. Admission is $5 for an individual and $10 for families, with free admission for costumed attendees and pets, police, firemen, EMS and first responders. There will also be a free comic book and toy appraisal. All proceeds will go toward Angels for Animals. Donations are being accepted and volunteers are need for the event. Community Neighborhood Sale
Vendors are being sought for Community Neighborhood Sale July 15 through 17 at the Community Resource Center, 940 Pennsylvania Ave., East Liverpool. Spaces are $15 for a table or $10 with own set up per day. To reserve a space contact Shirley or Nikki at the Community Resource Center at 330-385-1301. The sale opens 8 a.m. each day and includes door prizes and a 50/50 raffle.
