Antique in the Streets planned in Columbiana

Morning Journal/ Danielle Garner Shane Miller, owner of Olde Clutter’d Corner Antiques, is anticipating Antique in the Streets on the downtown historic Main Street June 26.

COLUMBIANA — A local business owner is spearheading the first Antique in the Streets event at 10 a.m. June 26 along Main Street.

Shane Miller, owner of Olde Clutter’d Corner Antiques, hopes the event will increase traffic for local businesses.

“There will be more than antiques here. There’s going to be a large variety of things and they can also shop. We have 19 stores downtown,” he said.

The event will include on-site appraisals and six different vendors. Outside vendors will feature antiques and farmhouse themed decor. Home crafted items can be found on the upper level of Olde Clutter’d Corner Antiques.

“We have a lot of handmade soaps; we sell local honey,” Miller said.

Olde Clutter’d Corner Antiques also provides a large variety of sports memorabilia with signatures.

Miller has wanted to have an event for years because of the excitement along Main Street on Saturdays.

“The events are crazy. They bring so many people in here and we have been talking about doing one. I just finally decided just to have one,” he said.

The newly established Columbiana Corridor allows visitors to enjoy local restaurants such as Carla’s Corner Cafe, Shellabella’s, Columbiana Nutrition, R’s Pizza, Paul’s Italian Restaurant and Generations Cafe.

Miller anticipates having more vendors sign up. Vendor spots outside cost $25 for the entirety of the event.

Miller can be reached at 330-509-5658 for more information. The event takes place rain or shine. Vendors have until June 21 to reserve a 10-foot by 10-foot space.

“Come give it a try, definitely it’s worth a shot. It’s a good time, it will be a good event. We will have a lot of people here,” Miller said.
