Ken Allcorn, commander of Columbiana American Legion Post 290, announced that due to the uncertainty of the Covid-19 virus health restrictions,it has been decided, with regrets, to cancel the Memorial Day parade again this year. On Memorial Day, the American Legion Post 290 Honor Guard will have short services at the Columbiana and New Waterford cemeteries. The Columbiana Cemetery service will be held at 10:45 AM at the War Memorial and the New Waterford service will follow shortly after. “Flyover Joe” Costanzo has informed Post 290 that if it is possible, there will be a flyover during the Columbiana service weather and other circumstances permitting. Anyone attending these services are asked to please follow all Covid-10 preventive rules.
