The Family Recovery Center offers Naloxone (Narcan), a medication that can block the effects of opioids and reverse an overdose. Free Narcan kits are distributed Monday – Thursday from 9 to 6 p.m. at their Lisbon office, 964 N. Market St. Kits are also distributed via their mail order program. The request form can be found on both the FRC Facebook page and website at www.familyrecovery.org. The anonymous form will take no more than 5-7 minutes; with a training video that is 16 minutes in length. Businesses that would like to keep naloxone on hand in case of an emergency can call the agency to arrange on-site training.
