DKG Alpha Iota
The October meeting of the Alpha Iota Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma teachers’ honorary was held in compliance with Gov. DeWine’s and the CDC’s covid guidelines. The meeting was conducted by president Pam Todd. Chaplain Maralyn Porter offered the invocation and Evelyn Thompson shared a motivational reading. The treasurer’s and secretary’s reports were accepted.
The by laws committee comprised of Amy Johnson, Pam Todd and Nancy Tompkins presented recommended revisions to the Alpha Iota standing rules. These will be voted on in November.
Members are to continue collecting change for the chapter’s “Change for Children” program. This is in support of the county JFS Foster Children’s Division.
October birthdays were recognized.
The next meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at Paul’s Italian Grill in Columbiana.
