The annual July 4th Boat Parade on Guilford Lake Saturday was sponsored by the Guilford Lake Civic Association. In keeping with the pandemic, the theme was “Honor Our Caregivers.” Entrants certainly did including the photo above featuring a design by Copeland Oaks honoring caregivers and first responders or the boat featuring a caped anti-COVID crusader, right. Prizes were awarded following the parade in front of Mark’s Landing. There were many spectators lining the rim of Guilford Lake to take in the parade on a steamy holiday afternoon.
