Max Gard hike canceled
Jackman S. Vodrey announced this week that the annual Max Gard hike — planned for May 13 and then rescheduled to July 8 — has been canceled due to COVID-19. “Gary Winterburn and I feel this is necessary since it would not be possible to maintain our 6-foot social distancing when riding in buses to the trail site,” Vodrey said in a news released. “Your safety and well being is a top priority. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and pray that we’ll all be able to meet at the Red School House in 2021.”
