CAA hosts virus testing
LISBON — In an effort to continue to increase testing in the state, the Community Action Agency of Columbiana County’s Lisbon Health Center hosted a one-day COVID-19 pop-up testing site on Monday.
From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., front desk staff from CAACC’s Health Centers took care of the registration, and nine Ohio National Guard medics performed each test. Chief Operating Officer for the CAA Health Center Jenna Wonner said that traffic was steady the entire day.
“The crowd has been steady the whole time,” Wonner said. “We had someone show up at 6:30 a.m., and we didn’t actually start testing until 9 a.m. The traffic has been backed up behind the fairgrounds over to Saltwell Road.”
While waiting in line took some time for people wishing to be tested, the registration and testing took just a few minutes each. According to Wonner, it takes about two or three days to get the results.
