Southern NHS

Southern Local on May 7 held its first virtual National Honor Society induction ceremony. Over 48 devices joined the ceremony. The ceremony opened with Kyleigh Ketchum lighting a candle and Erin Boyle leading the Pledge of Allegiance. Principal Jay Kiger addressed the students praising them on their achievements. Harmony Black summarized the activities of the group over the past year. Current member read passages based on the four pillars: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character and a candle was lit for each one. Jayce Sloan led the new inductees in the NHS pledge. Jody Lockhart, adviser, introduced each new inductee to be pinned by someone who has positively influenced their life.
