Committee wants nursing home input

People connected to nursing homes and long-term care facilities are being invited to share with a state committee how the state’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted these facilities.

State Rep. Tim Ginter (R-Salem) said it’s important to assess the current situation regarding the public health crisis and determine the best path forward as to how to help some of the most vulnerable populations, many of whom are housed in nursing homes or long term care facilities.

In particular nursing homes and long-term care facilities have been some of the hardest hit by the coronavirus. People who would be willing to share their story are asked to submit their written testimony to the House Aging and Long Term Care Committee by May 28 by emailing agingandlongtermcarecommittee@ohiohouse.gov.

The committee plans to compile recommendations on behalf of the testimony as it relates to nursing homes and long-term care facilities.
