An eggstravaganza at United Local
United Local Elementary students pictured are among many young students who will have their artwork on display at the annual United Community Scholarship Breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday at the high school cafeteria. Hundreds of elementary students submitted placemat posters for the event. Top placemats, however, will be taken off the tables and hung on the wall for display. The United Community Scholarship Foundation provided $18,000 in scholarships to United graduates last year and hopes to provide at least this amount for 2020 graduates. This Saturday is the all-you-can-eat eggstravaganza breakfast. The event raises funds, all of which benefit United Local scholarships. Made to order omelets, doughnuts and crepes are featured along with other breakfast items. The cost is $8; $6 for ages 4-12. Shown are (front from left) Ethan Newburn, Jacki Simmons, Serenity White, Cayden Pitts, (back) Sydney Tindell, Adeline Needs, Violet Terrill and Elaina Yoho.
