Suspect arrested in BP robbery

EAST LIVERPOOL — A suspect has reportedly been arrested in connection with the Friday night robbery at the BP station on Dresden Avenue.

Police Capt. Tom Clark said the report, which has yet to be completed, stated a white male whose face was covered entered the gas station just before it closed at midnight Friday and ordered the clerk to hand over the money. The man claimed to have a gun, but he is not believed to have shown it to the clerk during the robbery.

After receiving more than $100, the suspect fled south on Dresden Avenue on foot.

Clark, who was off when the crime occurred, said the unfinished report indicates a 31-year-old man was later arrested in connection with the crime.
