Submitted photo Thanksgiving baskets were made by the ladies of the East Palestine Town and Country Garden Club and delivered to shut-ins and nursing homes in the area. There were 20 baskets filled with fruit, cookies, muffins, candy and popcorn. Submitted photo Cub Scout Pack 2092, had the opportunity to tour the Lisbon Fire Department. The kids took part in fire safety lessons as well as touring the trucks themselves. This was to earn their Safe and Smart as well as Hometown Heroes badges. Firefighters Neil Brown and Jonathan Boggs led the tour and assistant chief Kurt Gresh was there answering questions too. The Lisbon Eagles 2216 made donations to the Lisbon police and fire departments. The fire donation will be applied to the fire prevention program held in Lisbon schools during during Fire Prevention Week. The police gift will be applied to the Lisbon school food baskets. Submitted photos Whispering Pines Village, Community Hospice and Legacy Christian Home Care held a dinner for all of the Columbiana first responders. The Mayor Bryan Blakeman and City Manager Lance Willard came out to the dinner as well to present certificates and pins for the local first responders. The cake for the event was made by Hogan’s Bakery. Shown here are Willard, Blakeman, Jennifer Burton, executive director at Whispering Pines Village, and Todd Jordan of Southern Care Hospice.
