Yellow Creek Township purchases truck

WELLSVILLE — The Yellow Creek Trustees passed a resolution to buy a new truck at Tuesday’s meeting. The township will be getting a 2019 550 Ram truck.

The new vehicle cost the township $74,741. It will be replacing the 1997 International plow truck that the township sold last meeting. Trustee Kenny Biacco reported they received the $6,000 from the bidder, Harry Pitts, of Milltree Properties in Vienna, Ohio. Biacco added the 1997 truck was removed from township property, it is also off the township’s insurance.

Trustee Mark Allison said they should have the new truck in about a week, they are waiting for it to get equipped with a plow and salt spreader.

In other action, the trustees:

— Announced they are making plans of forming a monthly South Field Energy Plant Construction committee, where the trustees meet with the parties involved to discuss issues with the plant’s construction.

–Township resident Ralph Samberson complained to the trustees about the condition of Nicholson Road and the lack of repairs.

The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Dec 10.
