The local military color guard stands at attention while presenting the colors at Monday’s Veterans Day program at Beaver Local High School. Congressman Bill Johnson, a retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, was the keynote speaker. Johnson spoke about the importance of freedom and how preserving our nation’s freedoms is the motivation for why veterans served. The annual event is sponsored by the Beaver Local History Club led by Lori Motry. The event included performances by the middle and high school choirs and the middle school band.
