Seats are still available for Wednesday’s Underground Railroad tour on the Quakertown Trolley. The tour begins at 10 a.m. Cost is $15 and a minimum of 15 are necessary to conduct the tour. Previous participants have found the tour very informative and were enlightened as to the plight of the escaping slaves as they sought freedom while traveling through Salem. If you have wanted to take this tour, call today. Members of Ellsworth Community Church recently arranged for a tour in Salem “which gave us a new appreciation for the homes in Salem.” Shown during the tour are Kathy Lanterman, Karen Eastman, Larry Eastman, Kate Frank, Linda Lanterman, Marie Lanterman, Carol Payne, Kay Mills, Ruth Blevins and Rich Blevins.
