A Salute to the Eagle Scouts!

Join us this Sunday, June 23rd, at the Duck Pond in Waterworth Memorial Park as we recognize Salem’s Boy Scout Troop #6 (St. Paul’s Church) for the many Eagle Scout projects they have done in and around the Salem community over the past few years.

Beginning at 1p.m., come celebrate with us, as we thank and pay tribute to the fine young men and women who have worked so hard to make our community a better place to live, work and play. The Salem Parks Department, in particular, has benefited greatly from these projects and it is our great pleasure to host this event. Refreshments will be served.

Also, to celebrate National Pollinator Week, seed packets will be handed out to anyone who would like to grow the types of plants and flowers that are now desperately needed for the continued survival of these important pollinators.

The newly remodeled Duck Pond, which is the latest Troop 6 Eagle Scout project, is located at 877 East School St. in Salem. Other parking lots are located on Superior Ave. and Sunset Blvd.

Please come out and personally thank these wonderful scouts who have done so much for the Salem community!
