Ribs the prize in SRMC raffle
The Salem Regional Medical Center’s (SRMC) Auxiliary is announcing an opportunity to win a backyard barbecue party for up to 10 people provided by Boneshakers of Salem, 546 E. Pershing St. The prize package includes a meal of ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, au gratin potatoes, coleslaw, baked beans and dessert. Residents can purchase raffle tickets for $1 each or six for $5. Tickets will be sold in SRMC’s Look Nook Gift Shop through Sept. 11. Auxiliary members will also sell tickets in the SRMC cafeteria May 20-24 and Aug. 29-30 from 8-10 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; and at Salem Giant Eagle June 14, July 12 and Aug. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The winner will be drawn on Sept. 12 at the auxiliary’s monthly membership meeting. Hospice volunteers sought
Community Hospice needs highly motivated and compassionate individuals who want to make a difference by volunteering their time. Volunteer teams offer many opportunities to share gifts and talents. You may be interested in helping patients, delivering supplies, working with military veterans, fundraising, sewing/crafts, helping in the office, Pet Therapy program, or a variety of other ways. Silver year for Dulci-Mores
Dulci-More Festival 25 will be held at BSA Camp McKinley, 37748 Furnace Road on Memorial Day weekend, May 24-26 featuring evening concerts from 7 to 9:15 p.m. all three days and folk music workshops and mini-concerts from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Presenters include national, regional and local folk and dulcimer musicians.
