LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary hearing/pretrial was set Aug. 15 for Kage Mosti, 23, Hammondsville, charged with a third-degree felony of having a weapon while under disability, a misdemeanor of illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and a forefeiture count for allegedly having a metal crack pipe and a loaded handgun with an extended magazine in the vehicle during a traffic stop Aug. 8 in Columbiana.

A pretrial was set Oct. 18 for Matthew McCaslin, 36, West Washington Street, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence for allegedly causing physical harm to his wife, Alaysha McCaslin, by grabbing her by the arms and throwing her on Aug. 5 in Lisbon.

A sentencing hearing was set Aug. 30 for Justin Fox, 43, Canfield, who pleaded guilty to engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. Fox was accused of answering an ad posted by an undercover Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent on a known escort website and arranging for sexual contact with a woman in exchange for $40, arriving July 13 in East Palestine for the meeting with the money and his phone used to make the arrangements.

A pretrial was set Oct. 11 for Jeffrey Birckbichler, 40, Butler, Pa., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly answering an ad posted by an undercover Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent on a known escort website and arranging for sexual contact with a woman in exchange for $140, arriving July 13 in East Palestine for the meeting with the money and his phone used to make the arrangements.

A pretrial was set Oct. 24 for Darrell Hughart, 54, West Main Street, New Waterford, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly requesting sexual conduct with an undercover Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent posing online as an 18-year-old girl in exchange for $70, then driving to Salem Aug. 8 for the meeting with the undercover agent. As part of the encounter, the affidavit said Hughart wanted to role-play as a principal of a school girl caught posting naughty notes in class.

A pretrial was set Aug. 18 for Rebecca Bollinger, 31, East Adams Street, East Palestine, charged with assault for allegedly slapping Kirsten Burbick across the face multiple times at a Riffle Road residence on July 26.

A pretrial was set Oct. 25 for Ian Culler, 20, East North Avenue, East Palestine, charged with domestic violence for allegedly yelling at his girlfriend Lori Charlton, grabbing her shoulders with a firm grip and violently shaking her back and forth on Aug. 6 in East Palestine.

Stephanie Williams, 56, South Street, East Palestine, was fined $200 and ordered to complete 20 hours community service for telecommunications harassment for repeatedly sending harassing and threatening messages to Michael Schnelle and repeated phone calls to Ronald Johnson on Sept. 28, 2021. After being told to stop all communications with Schnelle and Johnson by East Palestine police, she made repeated calls to Johnson, in violation of the order to stop. As part of her sentence, she was ordered to have no contact with Johnson.

Shelly Logan, 60, South Bayshore Drive, Columbiana, was fined $1,050 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 110 days suspended, ordered to spend 10 days in jail and 60 days electronically monitored house arrest for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and a headlights violation. She was also ordered to perform 20 hours community service and her license was suspended for two years.

Stacey Casanta, 48, South Main Street, Columbiana, was fined $250 for sale of tobacco products to person under 21 for an incident March 21 in Columbiana.

A pretrial was set Oct. 24 for Gary Coil III, 20, St. Clair Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with illegal open dumping for allegedly burning plastic items in a barn bin on July 14 in Salineville.

A pretrial was set Sept. 8 for Matthew Bales, 31, New Castle, Pa., charged with aggravated menacing for allegedly following another driver, Robby Padgett, who yelled at him, blocking his vehicle in the Circle K parking lot in East Palestine, exchanging words with him, admitting to pulling a pistol on Padgett and pointing it at him, while Padgett ducked behind his vehicle on Aug. 8. He was ordered to have no contact with Padgett.

A pretrial was set Sept. 8 for Robby Padgett, 26, Heck Road, East Palestine, charged with assault for allegedly striking Matthew Bales during a road rage incident on Aug. 8 in East Palestine at the Circle K parking lot.

A pretrial was set Oct. 24 for Ronald Johnson, 56, Park Avenue, East Palestine, charged with a miscellaneous wildlife offense for operating a vehicle in a non-designated area of Zeppernick Lake wildlife area.

A pretrial was set Aug. 23 for Zion Figley, 19, Muscovy Drive, East Palestine, charged with driving under suspension.

A pretrial was set Oct. 6 for John Yoho, 25, West Middletown Road, Salem, charged with OVI, driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to control.

Dylan Lacey, 19, Rochester Road, East Rochester, was fined $210 for driving under suspension, no seat belt and a headlight violation.

A pretrial was set Aug. 15 for Melissa Blake, 40, Quay Road, Negley, charged with driving under suspension.
