LISBON — Nickolas Good, 32, New Springfield, was served recently with a secret indictment issued by the Columbiana County grand jury for a fifth-degree felony charge of aggravated possession of drugs for allegedly possessing methamphetamine in an amount equal to or exceeding the bulk amount but less than five times the bulk amount on Oct. 28, 2021.

LISBON — A Salineville man accused in a road rage incident near Southern Local Schools last year pleaded guilty in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to an amended offense of aggravated assault, a fourth-degree felony.

Mark A. Morris, 47, state Route 39, Salineville, will face sentencing Oct. 17. At that time, charges of improper handling firearms in a motor vehicle, endangering children and criminal damaging will be recommended for dismissal as part of the plea agreement. He was indicted on those charges and a charge of felonious assault.

Morris was accused of using his vehicle May 19, 2021 to aggressively and intentionally ram another vehicle in the area around Southern Local Schools and Highlandtown, discharging a firearm during the road rage incident, and creating a risk to a child in his vehicle and a 2005 Chevy pickup owned by Jenny Echols.

Also in Common Pleas Court, Ciara White, 22, Campbell Road, Hanoverton, was ordered to serve a term of incarceration at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center after violating the terms of her community control/probation for a fourth-degree felony charge of aggravated possession of drugs for possessing oxycodone on Nov. 8, 2020.

Sentencing was set Oct. 14 for Jeffrey Falk, 46, Alice Street, East Palestine, who pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony, for possessing cocaine on Jan. 29, 2021.

EL Municipal

EAST LIVERPOOL — In East Liverpool Municipal Court, a case against Roger Ingram, 31, West Ninth Street, East Liverpool, for four counts of theft related to shoplifting incidents at Walmart was transferred to Columbiana County Municipal Court.

The date for his next hearing will be determined sometime in the fall. East Liverpool Municipal Court shuts down after Sept. 21, with all pending cases to be transferred to the county Municipal Court.

Ingram allegedly failed to scan two items totaling $376 on June 22 at the Walmart on Dresden Avenue, then on June 19/20, he allegedly failed to scan and pay for three items totaling $735, three items totaling $505 and three items totaling $545.

A case was continued to Sept. 13 for Timothy Potts, 34, Louis Street, East Liverpool, charged with using weapons intoxicated, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct for allegedly causing a loud music disturbance, making threats to neighbors and being under the influence and resisting arrest on June 25 at a Louis Street property. At the time, he allegedly failed to disclose to officers that he was carrying a loaded .45 caliber pistol and continued walking away and resisting.

A case was continued to Sept. 13 for Kathleen Barnes, 34, Dewey Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with drug paraphernalia, possessing marijuana and marked lanes for an April 15 traffic stop in Glenmoor when an officer saw a glass container with marijuana in plain view, searched the vehicle and found alleged drug paraphernalia and suspected narcotics. A probation revocation hearing was also set for a previous theft charge from a shoplifting incident at Walmart in 2020.

A motion hearing was set Sept. 13 for Steven Summers, 47, Vale Street, East Liverpool, charged with drug paraphernalia for allegedly having a crack pipe during a traffic stop on McDonald Road in St. Clair Township on April 1.

A pretrial was set Aug. 18 for Vicki Ingram, 57, South Surry Road, East Liverpool, charged with domestic violence for allegedly attacking her husband, Braidy Ingram, and grabbing and scratching him on Aug. 2.

A status hearing was set Sept. 13 for Shanda Pipes, 34, Florence Street, East Liverpool, charged with theft for allegedly failing to pay for two items valued at $44 at Walmart on June 3 and being found with the items at her residence.

A pretrial was set Aug. 25 for Tyler Austin, 31, St. George Street, East Liverpool, charged with speeding and domestic violence for a traffic stop on May 28 and for allegedly threatening to harm Hadley Bugar on July 8, telling her he was going to throw her out of the second story window.

A status hearing was set Sept. 13 for Ashley Reed, 39, Georgetown, Pa., charged with theft for allegedly switching tickets on 36 items during checkout, totaling $289, and trying to leave without paying at the Walmart on Dresden Avenue on July 1.

Paul Joy, 33, Trentvale Street, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for disorderly conduct, amended from domestic violence, for an incident from April this year.

A status hearing was set Sept. 13 for William Fletcher, 46, Hess Road, East Liverpool, charged with domestic violence for a June 1 incident.

A pretrial was set Sept. 6 for William Long Jr., 70, Commerce Street, Wellsville, charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs first offense, OVI refusal with prior OVI and failure to control.

A case against Kristal Barnett, 38, Claibourne Street, East Liverpool, was continued to Sept. 12 for failure to file city income tax for failing to continue regular payments for her outstanding income tax obligation.

A bench warrant was issued for Brandon Like, 29, West Ninth Street, East Liverpool, for failing to appear for a hearing on a charge of criminal trespass.

A pretrial was set Aug. 4 for Daniel Barker, 37, Chester, W.Va., charged with petty theft.

A pretrial was set Aug. 25 for Mark Coleman, 55, Y & O Road, East Liverpool, charged with drug paraphernalia offenses and a brake light violation.

Christian Bell, 26, Northside Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $100 for improper/prohibited turn and no license.

A case against Timothy Spears, 55, West Ninth Street, East Liverpool, on charges of no license and failure to file application was continued to Aug. 8.
