Grand Jury

LISBON — Four secret indictments issued last week by the Columbiana County grand jury for drug charges were served Tuesday and Wednesday, including one for bringing drugs onto the grounds of a government facility.

Travis Keener, 35, Stevens Aly, East Liverpool, was indicted for a third-degree felony charge of illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a specialized government facility and a fifth-degree felony for aggravated possession of drugs. Both counts stem from his alleged possession of methamphetamine on Oct. 29, 2021.

Other secret indictments issued included:

— William Bauman Jr., 67, Minerva, possession of fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony, allegedly on Oct. 14, 2021.

— Dustin Hambleton, 38, Y & O Road, Wellsville, aggravated trafficking in drugs and possession of cocaine, both second-degree felonies; trafficking in cocaine, a fourth-degree felony; aggravated possession of drugs and possession of drugs, both fifth-degree felonies; and having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony. All the drug charges also carry firearm specifications. According to the indictment, the charges all stem from Jan. 2, 2022 when Hambleton allegedly prepared for sale and possessed methamphetamine equal or exceeding five times the bulk amount but less than 50 times the bulk amount, prepared for sale and possessed cocaine equal or exceeding 5 grams but less than 10 grams, possessed amphetamine, buprenorphine and had a gun despite being prohibited from having one due to a previous drug conviction.

— Travis Rhodes, 31, East North Avenue, East Palestine, aggravated possession of drugs, possession of fentanyl-related compound and possession of heroin, all fifth-degree felonies, along with a forfeiture specification for money in a drug case. The indictment allegedly that he possessed the drugs, along with $80 cash, on Sept. 16, 2020.
