Grand Jury

LISBON — Justin L. Echols, 43, Lincoln Street, Salineville, was served a secret indictment charging him with felonious assault, a second-degree felony, for allegedly causing or attempting to cause harm to Mark Morris and another person while using a 2005 Chevy truck on May 19, 2021. The indictment was issued by the grand jury in January.

Court News

LISBON — Homer C. Carnes Jr., 42, state Route 154, Lisbon, pleaded guilty to failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony, and obstructing official business, a fifth-degree felony. Sentencing is set for Feb. 10. Carnes faces up to four years in prison and a $12,500 fine. On Dec. 6, 2020, Carnes allegedly attempted to elude police and created a risk to Deputy Eric Buday in his attempt to flee.

William D. Keyes Jr., 43, Claibourne Street, pleaded guilty to illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a specified governmental facility, a third-degree felony, for drugs taken into the jail on Aug. 21, 2020. Sentencing is set for March 4, when he faces up to three years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Michael Ingledue, 47, North Market Street, Minerva, was sentenced to a year in prison with credit for 24 days already served for possession of a fentanyl-related compound and aggravated possession of drugs, each a fifth-degree felony. Igledue had both a fentanyl-related compound and methamphetamines on Aug. 27, 2019.

Municipal

LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court Thursday, a preliminary hearing was scheduled for Jan. 24 for Timothy Boggs, 29, East Palestine, charged with assault on a police officer, a fifth-degree felony. Boggs allegedly shoved his shoulder into the chest of an officer at the county jail, knocking the officer off balance. He then allegedly asked the officer if he wanted to take the issue into his cell, an apparent threat of a fight.

A pretrial has been scheduled for Jan. 31 for Michael R. Phillis, 38, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence for allegedly firing a gun from his front door toward the outside of his property Jan. 15 in a threat to his wife.

A pretrial has been scheduled for March 22 for Brandon S. Miles, 31, Salem, charged with criminal damaging after allegedly throwing an object at another vehicle he was passing on North Lincoln Avenue in Perry Township Nov. 18.

A pretrial has been scheduled for March 1 for Adam L. Lodge, 30, Lisbon, charged with obstruction of official business after a sheriff’s deputy attempted to serve a warrant at a residence on the corner of Metz and Lower Elkton roads and he allegedly led the deputy on a foot chase through backyards before being caught.

A pretrial has been scheduled for March 21 for David Alan Negrin, 37, Slippery Rock, Pa., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly traveling to Salem Jan. 7 where he had agreed to exchange $150 for sexual favors from an undercover agent.

A pretrial has been scheduled for Jan. 31 for Travis S. Rhodes, 31, Columbiana, charged with possession of a drug abuse instrument and illegal use of possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Lisbon Road in Salem Township Jan. 19 in which several hypodermic needles were found in the vehicle.

A pretrial has been scheduled for Feb. 15 for Rodney L. Hoffman, 56, Vienna, charged with engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools for traveling to East Palestine Dec. 26 where he allegedly made arrangements to exchange $100 for sexual favors from an undercover agent.

A pretrial has been scheduled for Jan. 31 for James Cibula Kristopher, 30, Salineville, charged with drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a light bulb designed for methamphetamine use during an investigation by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force.

A pretrail has been scheduled for March 14 for Charles Jean Jaminet, 38, Youngstown, charged with engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools for allegedly traveling to East Palestine Jan. 14 to exchange $80 for sexual favors from an undercover agent acting as his stepmother.

A pretrial has been scheduled for Jan. 31 for Nicholas W. Cataldo, 33, Wellsville, charged with OVI-second offense, OVI-second offense breath .17 grams and failure to control following a traffic crash.

A pretrial has been scheduled for Feb. 28 for Alex Russell, 53, Rayland, charged with engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools after traveling to East Palestine Dec. 26 where he allegedly agreed to exchange $50 for sexual favors from an undercover agent.

A motion hearing has been scheduled for April 14 for Kirby C. Freed, 36, East Palestine, charged with resisting arrest, obstruction of official business, OVI-first offense and OVI-urine .11 gram-first offense.

A probation violation hearing has been scheduled for Feb. 28 for Kacey L. Copeland, 33, Sebring.

A probation violation hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 31 for Dorian R. Anderson, 32, East Liverpool, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, OVI-first offense, driving under suspension, no turn signal and no seatbelt following a traffic stop at state Route 45 and Wells Avenue in Yellow Creek Township.

Robert A. Harroff, 33, Columbiana, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.

Mo’nae Saunders T’Kazijah, 23, Alliance, was fined $900 and sentenced to three days in jail (one credited) for possession of marijuana, driving under suspension-OVI, expired registration and driving under suspension.

John E. Roberson, 56, Lisbon, was fined $30 for speed. A charge of no driver’s license was dismissed.

Zachary M. English, 26, East Liverpool, was fined $50 for a miscellaneous wildlife violation.

Cassandra L. Tomlin, 23, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and sentenced to 15 days in jail (two credited) for endangering children.

Mathey Geoffrey, 49, Salem, was fined $25 for marked lanes.

Sean C. Corbett, 21, Salem, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.

Keri C. Kelley, 40, Columbiana, was fined $915, sentenced to 90 days in jail and license suspended for one year for OVI and no headlights.

EL Municipal

EAST LIVERPOOL – In East Liverpool Municipal Court, Megan M. McBride, 37, Lincoln Avenue, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the grand jury on charges of robbery, a second-degree felony, and assault, a misdemeanor. McBride allegedly got on top of Logan Winters on a bed at the Vista Motel on Jan. 3 and struck her numerous times in the face and then stole several items belonging to Winters.

A Jan. 27 pretrial was set for Davon M. Whitson, 31, Smithfield Street, charged with domestic violence and obstructing official business for allegedly running from city police investigating after Whitson allegedly bit Kayla Blystone on the arm and threatened to harm her, giving her a firearm and suggesting she load it because she would need to defend herself on Thursday.

Dustin Brooks, 34, Vine Street, was fined $250 for domestic violence for throwing knives and arguing with his parents and threatening to kill them if the called police on Sept. 23.

An assault charge against Ryan L. Pritt, 39, Lisbon Street, was dismissed. Pritt had been accused of harming a child after that child was in a fight with Pritt’s son.

Brittany A. Petty, 25, Wilbert Avenue, was fined $150 and required 20 hours community service for assault for getting into Alexandria Wright’s face and shoving her on June 27.

A Jan. 27 pretrial was set for Nicole M. Reed, 41, Wilbert Avenue, charged with making false alarms after allegedly making a false 911 call on Dec. 14, which was not the first time she allegedly did so.

Charles R. Lewis Jr., Dresden Avenue, was fined $50 for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for pinning his mother against the wall and headbutting her.

A $25,000 bond was revoked for Gage A. Gough, 27, Ambrose Avenue, who failed to appear on charges of petty theft and criminal damaging for alleged cutting a catalytic converter off of a 2009 Chevy Traverse.

A March 3 pretrial was set for Emere M. Mason, 23, Wilbert Avenue, charged with theft for allegedly using different bar codes to alter the price of items at the self-checkout register at the Calcutta Walmart on Jan. 12.

A March 3 pretrial was set for Leroy C. McEldowney, 42, West Ninth Street, cited with fictitious plates and no license.

Ashley D. Perrine, 33, Huston Avenue, was fined $150 for no license.

Shaunea D. Crute, 30, Midland, Pa., was fined $225 for three counts of complicity to theft for helping Corey Washington when he reportedly stole a ring valued at $198 at the Calcutta Walmart on Oct. 13, 2014 and stolen other items in a buggy going out the lawn and garden door on Oct. 15, 2014.

Zachary A. Petty, 24, Ravine Street, was fined $150 and required 20 hours community service for assault for punching Alexandria Wright in the back of the head on June 27, 2021.

Michael Greathouse, 39, Eunice Drive, was fined $100 and sentenced to 10 days in jail for possession of drug abuse instruments.

Justin R. Barrett, 37, Sophia Street, was fined $100 and sentenced to 10 days in jail for drug abuse instruments for several used syringes on Jan. 11.

April L. Birtwell, 31, Valley Avenue, was fined $100 and sentenced to 10 days in jail for possession of drug abuse instruments for several used syringes on Jan. 11.

Kenneth J. Boso, 47, Yeager Drive, East Liverpool, was ordered to serve 41 previously suspended days in jail for a probation violation from a driving under suspension charge.

A March 10 pretrial was set for Erika Acevedo-Contreras, 26, St. Charles, Ill., charged with theft for allegedly scanning 30 items totaling $186 using two bar codes for $5.97 and 50 cents for all the items.

A bench warrants for failure to appear was issued for Keven W. Madden II, 29, Dan Smith Road, Wellsville, cited with improper registration.
