Mia N. Sheets, 31, Carbon Hill Road, East Palestine, pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony for having methamphetamines on Dec. 31, 2019. She faces up to three years in prison, a $10,000 fine and a license suspension of up to five years. Sentencing is set for March 24.
Shaunea D. Crute, 30, Warren, was sentenced to nine months in prison with credit for 24 days served for aggravated possession of drugs and possession of drugs for having oxycodone and diazepam on Nov. 6, 2017. She had failed to appear at a prior status conference in November.
Samuel J. Brown, 32, Furnace Road, Lisbon, was found eligible for intervention in lieu of conviction and pleaded guilty to trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine, both fourth-degree felonies. He was placed on a three-year intervention treatment plan. The charges were for drug in his possession on July 1, 2020.
LISBON — A Jan. 24 preliminary hearing was set in county Municipal Court for Richard A. Braham, 23, West Park Avenue, Columbiana, charged with resisting arrest, a fourth-degree felony; domestic violence, a fifth-degree felony; and obstructing official business, a fifth-degree felony for allegedly placing his pregnant girlfriend, Casey Mathes, in a chokehold to where she nearly lost consciousness, striking her in the face and threatening her with a knife on Friday. Braham then allegedly refused to come out of the bedroom when ordered by police and when he eventually emerged, allegedly had screwdriver, threatened officers and to kill K-9 Csuti until police used a pepperball, a taser and K-9 apprehension techniques to get him into custody.
A Jan. 24 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set for Henry J. Mills, 52, Grant Street, Salem, charged with assault of a police officer and two counts of criminal damaging. On Saturday, Mills was being treated at the Salem Regional Medical Center after claiming to have a seizure at the jail, repeatedly attempted to remove his leg shackles after being ordered not to and then struck Deputy Jesse Smith who was trying to restrain him, both by kicking him and swinging at his head. Additionally, he allegedly attempted to break the frame of the hospital bed in an attempt to get free of his handcuffs and urinated twice on the floor of his hospital room.
Erica P. Skica, 31, Youngstown, and Anthony David Dobozy, 35, Beachwood, Salem, were each bound over to the grand jury. Skica is charged of forgery and two counts of theft, while Dobozy is charged with two counts of complicity. The two are accused of taking checks from Paul Hartman, an elderly person, and forging 30 of them totaling $4,646 and depositing them into an account. Another checkbook for another one of Hartman’s checking accounts reportedly was found in their possession, along with three additional checks belonging to Hartman were already filled out and ready to deposit.
A Jan. 24 preliminary hearing was set for Anthony J. Antonas, 41, Latta Road, East Palestine, charged with domestic violence for pushing his live-in girlfriend in the chest and smacking her hand to knock away her phone on Jan. 1.
Jeremy D. McMahan, 43, Youngstown, was bound over to grand jury for compelling prostitution, possessing criminal tools and two counts of drug paraphernalia for allegedly offering to hire a 16-year-old girl for sexual acts in exchange for $30 and methamphetamines, before arriving at a designated meeting location on Jan. 7 with more than five grams of methamphetamines, glass pipes and a digital scale.
Kirsten R. Burbick, 28, Riffle Road, New Waterford, was fined $1,275, had her license suspended for a year, required to attend a three-day counseling program, sentenced to 30 days of electronically monitored house arrest, ordered to attend a parenting class and required 40 hours community service for OVI second offense, endangering children and a child restraint violation. Burbick had operated a vehicle while under the influence with a 3-year-old child in the vehicle on Aug. 14, when she damaged the house.
A Feb. 17 pretrial was set for Amy Harmicar, 36, Goshen Road, Salem, cited with OVI first offense, possession of a controlled substance and slow speed. She allegedly had hashish on Jan. 10 and was under the influence and driving on Jan. 8.
Holly P. Pinkerton, 53, Lebanon, was fined $475, had her license suspended for 180 days, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 40 hours community service for speeding and physical control amended from OVI first offense.
A March 3 pretrial was set for David Allen Hall, 47, Boardman, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly soliciting sexual conduct with an undercover agent for $150 on Jan. 15 and drove to Salem to meet the agent with the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force.
Melissa L. McLean, 51, Salem Grange Road, Salem, was fined $400, credited with a day in jail and required 50 hours community service for soliciting criminal tools and soliciting for offering sexual services for $120 to someone with the MVHTTF and then traveling to East Palestine to provide the services in November.
A March 1 pretrial was set for Chad Michael Smith, 50, Goshen Road, Salem, charged with engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools for allegedly offering $110 for sex with a female on Dec. 29 before arriving in East Palestine.
A Jan. 27 pretrial was set for Sara Christine Noling, 35, East Taggart Street, East Palestine, cited with drug paraphernalia and obstructing official business for allegedly hiding under the bed from police on Thursday, in a bedroom where six methamphetamine pipes and more than three grams of suspected methamphetamines were reportedly found.
A March 17 pretrial was set for George Arthur Kress, 55, Westville Lake Road, Beloit, charged with OVI first offense, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, a seat belt violation and left of center.
A March 17 pretrial was set for James J. Lippiatt, 32, West State Street, Salem, cited with obstructing official business and drug paraphernalia for allegedly having a cut plastic straw with white substance in it and attempted to reach into his pocket when ordered not to do so at the Suburban Market parking lot on Saturday.

A March 17 pretrial was set for Rex Easton Rowland, 43, Youngstown, cited with OVI second offense and OVI refusal with prior within 20 years.
George Exline, 44, 10th Street Extension, Wellsville, was credited with 19 days in jail, fined $500 and required 30 hours community service for assault amended from domestic violence for choking his wife, Patricia Exline, on Oct. 31.
A Feb. 28 pretrial was set for Erin A. Taggart, 27, West Perry Street, Salem, cited with possession of drug paraphernalia, for allegedly having a black digital scale in her backpack in the parking lot of the Suburban Market on Saturday.
A Jan. 24 pretrials was set for John R. Wolfe Jr., 39, state Route 172, East Rochester, charged with assault and criminal trespassing for allegedly entering a Jersey Ridge Road, Salem, home on Jan. 9 uninvited and stayed 20 minutes after being asked multiple times to leave.
A Jan. 27 pretrial was set for Duallen J.D. Stanford, 29, state Route 170, Negley, cited with possessing drug abuse instruments for allegedly having a purple Crown Royal bag under the seat of his vehicle containing multiple syringes, spoons, cotton filters and white paper fold with an unknown powder inside.
A March 17 pretrial was set for Christopher Austin Alexandar Asher, 24, Market Street, Salineville, cited with driving under suspension.
A Feb. 22 pretrial was set for Cassie Lee Thompson, 38, Elkton Road, Lisbon, charged with obstructing official business and drug paraphernalia. Thompson allegedly had opened Suboxone strips in the vehicle and gave Lisbon police another person’s Social Security number and on Feb. 28, 2021.
A Jan. 24 pretrial was set for Xavier E. Washington, 22, 15th Street, Wellsville, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly failing to provide police information when he had been with a 16-year-old girl, who had run away Thursday.
A Feb 15 disposition hearing was set for Katlyn Jane Clemens, 26, Lexington Avenue, Salem, charged with endangering children and driving under suspension for allegedly leaving a 2-year-old child inside a running vehicle with all the doors unlocked and parked at the Walmart in Salem on Feb. 22, 2021.
Abbigail Joy Heaberlin, 23, North Sumner Street, East Palestine, was fined $250, credited with eight days in jail and required 20 hours community service for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for kicking, punching and hitting Emily Hubbard in the head with a bag full of prescription bottles, ripping down the Christmas lights and destroying a porch camera before leaving on Christmas Eve.
Hunter M. Rosfeld, 19, Austintown, was fined $295 for driving with a temporary permit without a valid driver and speeding.
Taylor David Swanson, 19, Akron, was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from improper backing.

A Feb. 23 pretrial was set for Hayden M. Wright, 32, St. George Street, charged with domestic violence for allegedly grabbing Ashley Doerfer, the mother of his child, in an aggressive manner, spitting in her face, grabbing her hair and pushing her face while threatening to kill her on Dec. 29.
